Blah, blah, blah, blog.: Paris

Over the Christmas weekend we drove six hours west to Paris, France. We stayed in an area known for its bars and cafes called the St-Germain-De-Pres district.

The Arc de Triomphe from Place de la Concorde. Napoleon planned for this arch to be built in honor of his men who won the Battle of Austerliz in 1805. The arch is now the customary starting point for parades and celebrations.

We never found out how many lanes this round about is supposed to have.The most we counted was eight cars/motorcycles across.

This is a picture of the Hotel des Invalides. Inside there is a military museum and the tomb of Napoleon.

On our second full day in Paris we stumbled upon a small market where we ate fresh crossants. Here is a picture of me with a hot chocolate that had to have been made of pure chocolate. It was delicious!

We went to Notre-Dame on Christmas Eve and we were actually allowed admission as they held church service.

One of the only things open on Christmas day was the Eiffel Tower so we saved that visit. Of course on the day we went it was extremely foggy.
